The groundbreaking ceremony of the Erciyes University Nanotechnology Research Center (ERNAM) was held on April 11, 2011 with the participation of President Abdullah Gül. The initial investment of 1 Million Turkish liras required for the building construction was donated by a charitable businessman from Kayseri. Designed and used entirely for research activities, ERNAM was established on a total area of 1600 m2. The center has class 1000 and class 10000 clean rooms with an area of 190 m2 and serves with an area of 800 m2 for laboratories and an area of 400 m2 for office spaces. The center became operational in April 2013 and currently serves researchers from different fields with several fabrication and characterization laboratories.
